While cologne is worn all over the world, not a lot of  stylish men have thought about it as the timeless article of clothing that it is. The practice of using scents dates as far back as the Egyptian times, when they used them for religious purposes. The Egyptians were brilliant in that they stored their scents in bottles of glass to use whenever they pleased. Later in the 18th century, the creation of Eau de cologne in Cologne, Germany led to a more masculine smell.
