On dreaming and reading


Last night, I was engrossed in reading the fourth book out of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Hey, I can still be a kid at heart you know! It reminds me of my childhood favorite, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. I fell in love with mythology and the gods. Although it seemed irrational at first, it did its job and took me away from reality. I was reading until it was past 1 in the morning. My mother was okay with it, she knows what it’s like, being so taken by a book. And besides, it was Friday and I’m the one who’ll pay the price of sleeping late and waking up in the afternoon, anyway. (So much for a wasted Saturday)

I finished it, within a day! And it was so thick, yet I can’t stop myself. It’s a page-turner, mind you. If you’re interested…
