Originally, this was going to be a Friday’s Photo of the Week until my dad stopped by for an unintentional but absolutely hilarious dip in the river.

I started thinking over what I wanted to write about the river, and once I was there it expanded. A lot.

The property line of my parents’ place happens to have a river running through the back yard right up against the line. In fact, the river runs through the yard and they own the rocky bank on the other side. My father bought this piece of property off of his father, so when my grandparents were alive access to the far bank was a quick walk across the bridge and down their driveway.
